Update new subscriber "Welcome Text" message:

From the left main menu select “Marketing” then from the top menu that appears select “Templates”. Here you will see a template called Welcome Text, any changes you make to this template will now appear when a new subscriber is created from any efforts such as a website popup or social media ad. Note: if you are going to use this welcome message to promote an upcoming event make sure to change it after the event is over*

Update new subscriber "Welcome Email":

From the left side menu select “Marketing” , when the top menu appears hover your mouse over Emails, then select “Templates” from the drop down menu that appears when hovering. From here you should see 3 main email templates. The one we are working on will be the “Welcome Email Template”. Click the pencil icon to the right to begin editing. This will pull up our email building software where you can make any changes necessary. If you get stuck, submit a ticket in our support portal and we can assist you, or visit the videos for a hands on demonstration. *Note: The contents of this email will be sent to all new subscribers automatically. Ideally you should be updating the contents of this email frequently to promote any upcoming events. You an also use timeless content as long as there are no commitments such as dates or times on the graphics used.

Update Birthday Text Template:

From the left main menu select “Marketing” then from the top menu that appears select “Templates”. Here you will see a template called “Birthday Text”. Once you have made your changes select save, and any future birthday texts will contain the new copy.

Update Birthday Email Template:

From the left side menu select “Marketing” , when the top menu appears hover your mouse over Emails, then select “Templates” from the drop down menu that appears when hovering. From here you should see 3 main email templates. The one we are working on will be the “Bithday Template”. Click the pencil icon to the right to begin editing. This will pull up our email building software where you can make any changes necessary. If you get stuck, submit a ticket in our support portal and we can assist you, or visit the videos for a hands on demonstration.

Send a text message blast to your contacts in MainDine:

Head to Contacts > Look for the “Send SMS” icon listed above the contacts. Next look for the grey font “Text List” and click there, that should populate your eligible text message responders list. Located in the top left corner just above the first contact listed click the box for “select all” and then when the clickable link populates next to their listing the total number of contacts available, click there to fully “select ALL”. The next screen is where you will construct your mass SMS to send or schedule to all of these contacts selected (if you do not want to send to all of the eligible contacts in your text list you can separate contacts via contact tags and send to select lists)To attach an image to your text click the paperclip icon and that will pull up the files in your computer. To insert your trigger link (and have the link clicks tracked in the data analysis) click the icon above the paperclip and scroll down to the option Trigger Links > Select the correct destination trigger link that applies to your text blast created from the step above.

Construct and send a marketing email to your contacts in MainDine:

Head to Marketing > Emails > Create Campaign From here you can select a pre-constructed template by selecting “Newsletter Template” by selecting the check mark. This will open the template for you to customize and add the new information pertaining to the campaign you would like to send. Make sure you change the name at the top for organization. Once you are happy with the look and design of your email click Send to send now or Schedule to schedule for a later date/time.

Next you will modify the settings for this campaign "From" Email: (your restaurant’s email address) From Name: (your restaurant’s name)*If you see something such as leave it as is and your name will be seen by the recipients.* Email Subject: desired subject of this campaign (be creative and not “spammy”) Recipients:  Here you will select the recipients you would like to receive your email, select send to smart list and select “Email List” (if you have minimal contacts you can click send to all contacts instead of Email List although the smart list is recommended). Keep in mind, if you send too many emails to too many contacts unsolicited your emails will end up in spam and will not be seen.

Create a “trackable link” to add to email and text messages this is known as a “Trigger Link”:

In your MainDine CRM head to Marketing > Trigger Links > Add LinkNext you are going to head to the website/landing page of your website where you want the link to go to or the “destination”. Once you visit the site, copy the exact link from the address bar (where you type in web addresses) then head back to your CRM. Next, you’re going to paste the address in the “Link Url” space and then label the destination with a name and save. Now your "trigger link" is ready to add to any text message or email campaign, and clicks will be tracked from the hyperlink created.

Connect Facebook/Google for messages, reviews, etc. to appear in your CRM:

Select “Settings” from the main menu. Then look for “Integrations” towards the bottom of the list of new menu items on the left side. Here you will see the option to connect multiple platforms including TikTok, Stripe, Google, Etc. Only connect the necessary platforms that you will be using with our CRM. Once you have established connection future messages will appear in your “conversations” tab from all connected platforms.
